Client Feature - Kim You might know 45 year old Kim from her Kangatraining days where she would help new mums gain the confidence and strength to get back into exercise post baby. Kim completed the post session questionnaire well before her reveal, since then she has had an impromptu mini shoot & is now my Elite Brand Ambassador! I thought I would get this blog thing happening before it's too late :) Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing this session? No. I’ve learnt to embrace my body the way it is & I want to celebrate me & how proud I am of my body & what it’s achieved! What made you take the leap of faith to do a boudoir session? I couldn’t wait when Lauren told me about it & I wanted in! Did I provide enough pre-session info? Yes. All the information & communication was brilliant! I knew exactly what to bring & what I needed to do to prepare for my session. How did you feel BEFORE your session? So very excited! A tiny bit nervous initially, but that was very quick to pass How did you like working with my team? Did you love your hair & makeup? Hair & Makeup were incredible & so perfectly suited to me, my outfits & my mood board. Lisa & Mairee were wonderful, friendly & super professional. They made me feel so welcome & helped build up the excitement for my shoot
How would you describe the session? The session felt like posing & having fun with my girlfriend (which really it was!) Lauren was excellent in demonstrating & describing poses, facial expressions & hand placement, so I felt amazingly confident in everything I was doing & I love how genuinely excited she’d get whenever I nailed a pose or expression or just did what she wanted without prompting. I was comfortable the whole time & Lauren always asked if I was happy doing a pose, whether I was confident getting into position or could hold it. I am exhausted now - the session is a complete body workout! Did anything change about the way you see yourself after the session? I was quite confident going in, but by the end, I wasn’t remotely worried about any of my own perceived flaws. I’m really embracing every part of my body - the scarred, the wobbly, the overhang. I am truly beautiful & a goddess & I’m going to walk with confidence in myself just that little bit more Do you have any advice for women considering doing a boudoir session? Practice! Practice poses, Practice facial expressions, Practice feeling your skin, hair, outfit. Take selfies, use the timer on your phone - you’ll get an idea of what works & what doesn’t. You may feel a little silly doing it at first but when you’re in your session & you just nail it, you will be so happy you did! Any final thoughts on your session, or anything you'd like other woman to know?
Give yourself permission to love yourself & appreciate your body in its entire beauty! Do it for you - not anyone else! You will be so happy you did & you’ll have a new-found confidence & vitality & respect for yourself!
