Karen's Boudoir Experience - Mildura Boudoir PhotographyDid you have any obstacles or fears about doing this session? I was nervous but immediately put at ease but Lauren and Vee and then Mairee so the nerves turned into excitement almost immediately. What made you take the leap of faith to do a boudoir session? My Beautiful Girlfriends all put in and gifted me the shoot for my birthday! They knew i had been raving about all the sessions i had seen on the Pure Beauty Page so they organised a voucher so that i could have my very own Did I provide enough pre-session info? Absolutely. The email in the lead up were fantastic and gave me lots of ideas and the one on one consultation was amazing too. How did you feel BEFORE your session? Like i didnt know if i could do it. Excitedly nervous and oraying that i could look as Beautiful and sexy as all the Woman i have seen in past sessions. How did you like working with my team? Did you love your hair & makeup? Absolutely loved both. I cant stop looking at my eyes- as a person who is not great at applying eye liner i am blown away with what Vee created. And Mairee did an amazing job of my curls so thank you so very much girls xx How would you describe the session? (poses, direction, comfort level, thoughts, FEELINGS) Lauren you are truely gifted with what you do. From the second our session began your direction with oises was flawless and encouraging and you pushed me to get the desired shot, even when i doubted i could 'bend' or 'arch' any further!! I will definately be sore tomorrow but i thank you so much for pushing me as i know the photos ive seen on your camera already are incredible. You really know hpw to get the best from us and for us without any uneasiness or making us uncomfortable- i mean it you are a magician!! Was the session different than you expected? If so, how? I didnt really let mysef overthink it too much before today as i wanted to try and stay as relaxed as i could but the feeling of pride and being totally empowered is an amazing feeling. I dont know if i truely understood this feeling from reading it from others that have had their own sessions, but im loving it thats for sure Lol xx How did you feel AFTER your session? Elated. Proud. Happy. Empowered. Over the moon. Sexy about my entire body, not just my favourite bits which is huge for me. What was your favorite part? Sharing in Lauren's excitement when i got the poses and she 'Got the shot' was invigorating and made me want to keep going all day. Laurens Enthusiasm is infectious in the best possible way. What was your least favorite part? My stupid thigh twitching uncontrollably while trying to hold poses Lol Would you ever do another session? Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes!! How did you feel when you saw your images? Loved them so much. Cant wait to see them all at the reveal. I felt so Beautiful and Sexy which are not usually things i feel about myself. I have always considered myself a Plain Jane which isnt a bad thing as such, but to feel this Beautiful and Sexy today is something i will never forget. Did anything change about the way you see yourself after the session? I now appreciate all of me, not just my favourite parts. I have never really loved my thighs or my butt as thats where i have always carried all of my weight. But after seeing the shots Lauren got of my bootie today, i have a whole new opinion of those parts of me! Thank you Lauren xx Do you have any advice for women considering doing a boudoir session?
Trust in Lauren- she knows EXACTLY what she is doing and WILL get the most out of you if you let her. Go in with an open mind and Trust in your own ability too. You got this Any final thoughts on your session, or anything you'd like other woman to know? Please do this for yourself! I Loved the entire experience from start to finish and i think everyone deserves to feel as Beautiful and Sexy as Lauren, Vee and Mairee make you feel. Its the most Amazing way to have a constant reminder of just how incredible we are. Thank you Team Pure Beauty.

Nicole's Bridal Boudoir Experience - Mildura Portrait PhotographerIs there anything more pretty and pure looking than a woman in a veil? Nicole was one of my first clients to go all out bridal in a flowing veil as a present to her husband to be. Nicole was one of the beauties to attend the launch party and even one of my first consultations before I had the studio! It feels like this was such a long time ago and was so hard keeping these stunning photos a secret until she presented them to her now husband. It was such a pleasure to help this stunning bride surprise her loved one in the lead up to their big day. Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing this session? My obstacle was nothing to do with the session itself but with society as a whole, it goes a lot deeper than just a single photoshoot. I'm pretty well known for my confidence, though it hasn't come easily. I've been plus sized most of my life, and it's hard being plus sized always; but especially as a young woman. They don't make clothes that are both affordable and youthful for big girls; it's either $100 for a cute t-shirt or Mumu's designed for women in their 40's or over. Being a big girl has been tough, I was ferociously bullied in primary and high school because I was always bigger than the other girls. I had to learn to be thick skinned, I believed in faking until you make it, and I still do now. I spent years at high school ignoring my bullies, or telling them I didn't care what they thought; I was beautiful. I didn't believe it for a second, but after a while I really did start to believe it and I attribute most of my confidence to simply the fact that I made myself believe I was the beautiful queen that I am, and have always deserved to be. In that way I was lucky that I had no fears going into the session I knew that I would look hot one way or another, and getting to know Lauren in the months leading up to it absolutely solidified my confidence that she would deliver an amazing experience for me. And boy did she!!! What made you take the leap of faith to do a boudoir session? A boudoir shoot is something I have always wanted to do, I chose to do it as a wedding present to myself and my now husband, I knew it was an investment in myself, and that I deserved to look and feel beautiful. I'm so glad I have these photos to look at and will have them forever to look back and reminisce on an incredible experience. Did I provide enough pre-session info? YES! There was so much info I didn't even think I would need! But I'm so glad I had it! How did you feel BEFORE your session? So excited! It had been a long time coming! How did you like working with my team? Did you love your hair & makeup? Vee is INCREDIBLE! She did my wedding makeup too! and we have been friends for a long time so she was perfect for my session. Mairee was so so lovely and did a great job with all my hair! I had so much of it at the time lol How would you describe the session? (poses, direction, comfort level, thoughts, FEELINGS) The session was phenomenal! I had the best day, Lauren fully understands the human body and what looks best on camera, I love that as you're going you might feel silly or exposed in a pose then she shows you the photo and you look incredible and it helps to just make you want to keep going. Was the session different than you expected? If so, how? I didn't expect to be moving as much as I was, I thought it would more be about holding poses than moving towards them, once I got the hang of not holding my hands in one spot it really made the poses pop! How did you feel AFTER your session? AMAZING!!!! I wanted to tell everyone! lol but was keeping it a surprise for my husband. (That was the hardest part!!) What was your favorite part? The laughs! and the makeup! What was your least favorite part? Keeping it a secret! but that was my fault, I loved everything else Would you ever do another session? YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How did you feel when you saw your images? Empowered! Sexy! Hot! Strong! Did anything change about the way you see yourself after the session?
I think it really just solidified all the hard work I have done to gain the confidence I have in myself already! It definitely made me look at my posing for other photos differently so I learned a lot! Do you have any advice for women considering doing a boudoir session? DO IT!!!! It's 100% worth it! Lauren is incredible at making you feel sexy, don't stress about the little flaws because you don't notice them once you see your photos! Any final thoughts on your session, or anything you'd like other woman to know? Trust Lauren! She is literally an expert in this field, you also get so much for your money, it seems expensive on paper but it's honestly not for all the amazing things you get!!! Matt and Mikayla Couples Shoot - Mildura Boudoir PhotographerUpon meeting Matt and Mikayla I knew this was going to be a fun shoot! Mikayla a 22 year old retail supervisor, had already inquired about doing her own solo boudoir shoot before I announced the couples boudie call. This adorable couple had so much chemistry during their session and I can't wait to see what the future holds for this match made in heaven. Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing this session? We were both a little nervous but wasn’t really an obstacle or fear as such. What made you take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session? Because we are both our most confident selves when we are together. We knew it’d be something fun and different for us to do together and after having two kids, we needed that time to really appreciate one another again. Did I provide enough pre-session info? Absolutely. You were incredibly helpful whenever I needed you leading up to the session! How did you feel BEFORE your session? A little nervous but very excited. How did you like working with my team? Did you love your hair & makeup? Bloody loved it! All SO easy to get along with and very easy to make conversation with. No feeling of awkwardness with anyone whatsoever, it was the best. Such a talented team you have. Was in love with my hair and makeup today! How would you describe the session? (poses, direction, comfort level, thoughts, FEELINGS) As soon as we went into the room, any feeling of discomfort or nervous jitters were long gone. We were guided into every pose and even two people as clumsy and ditsy as us were able to nail them so literally anyone can hahaha! Honestly loved every minute of our session and would do it again in a heartbeat! Was the session different than you expected? If so, how? we were much more relaxed than we expected it to be which was the best! How did you feel AFTER your session? Absolutely fabulous!! Felt so relaxed and so confident and even more in love with one another than usual. What was your favorite part? Lauren falling off the bed (heheheh totally kidding, hope you’re okay tho! Hahahah) but honestly loved every second of it. Don’t have a favourite part in particular! What was your least favorite part? The only bad thing about the session at all was the cold weather hahahahah! Would you ever do another session? ABSO-BLOODY-LUTELY! How did you feel when you saw your images?
AMAZING! Was actually stunned by how amazing they were! Did anything change about the way you see yourself after the session? Yaaaaass! I feel SO much more confident about myself because of it! It really makes you feel so beautiful! Matt said he still feels as sexy as always hahahahah Do you have any advice for women considering doing a boudoir session? DO IT! DO IT FOR EVERY REASON YOU FEEL YOU SHOULDNT! You feel too chunky? GO AHEAD GIRLFRIEND! YOU ROCK THOSE CURVES! Don’t like your stretch marks? SHOW OFF THOSE TIGER STRIPES WITH PRIDE GIRL! THEY ARE YOUR STORY! 100% DO IT FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE IT GIVES YOU SUCH AN INCREDIBLE VIEW OF YOURSELF THAT YOU NEVER THINK POSSIBLE UNTIL LAUREN CAPTURES YOU AND YOUR PURE BEAUTY. JUST DO IT GIRL! Any final thoughts on your session, or anything you'd like other woman to know? not really. Just know that it is the most judgemental-free, safest and most comfortable place I’ve ever felt outside of a home. It’s honestly such a beautiful environment with nothing but laughs, love and good vibes. Nothing at all to be afraid of. Burlesque BUMS - Mildura Portrait PhotographerSo for todays featured beauty blog we are throwing it back to a few months ago to our second Beauties Unite Marathon Session (BUMS). The BUMS shoots have become a great way for a small group of ladies to get together and get a taste for the boudoir experience in a fun and easy going way! So what is the low down on BUMS? 4 to 5 beauties come into the studio taking in turns for hair and makeup, 60 minutes of shoot time, refreshments, same day reveal and of course an amazing day of feeling sexy and empowered with a great group of ladies. As you will read bellow, the girls had an amazing day and we can't wait to share with you the next BUMS shoot coming up later this year. Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing this session? Was nervous but also excited! What made you take the leap of faith to do a boudoir session? Had been wanting to have a boudoir session for a while but hadn’t built up the courage, felt the BUMS was the perfect way to ease in and build up the confidence to do a full shoot eventually Did I provide enough pre-session info? Yes definitely How did you feel BEFORE your session? Super excited How did you like working with my team? Did you love your hair & makeup? Yes! Was a great fun day and also loved getting to know the other beauties participating in the bums shoot! How would you describe the session? (poses, direction, comfort level, thoughts, FEELINGS) It was amazing I would recommend everyone give it a shot I enjoyed myself so so much Was the session different than you expected? If so, how? Definitely not as stressful (or rushed) as I thought it may have been having 4 girls in on the one day, was very relaxing and smooth transitions for each of us. How did you feel AFTER your session?
