Vee's Brand Ambassador Shoot - Mildura Portrait PhotographerHonestly there are some days I feel like a shoot wouldn't happen if I didn't have this girl working by my side. From slaying my client's make up, watering my plants, even play dates with my children!!! For every little thing you do behind the scenes, I can't thank you enough Vee. I love having you in the studio with me both in front of and behind the camera and I'm so exciting to shoot with you more in the new year. Never stop being the amazing ghoulish babe that you are. Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing this session? At first 100%, body insecurities What made you take the leap of faith to do a boudoir session? I became a brand ambassador Did I provide enough pre-session info? You certainly did and always do! How did you feel BEFORE your session? Nervous as hell! How did you like working with my team? Did you love your hair & makeup? Loved my hair! Thanks Mairee xx and loved my makeup by me hehe How would you describe the session? (poses, direction, comfort level, thoughts, FEELINGS) The session was incredible! I’m not flexible so my back arching was hard but in saying that, Lauren made it easy for me! In other poses too! My comfort level was perfect, not at any point was I uncomfortable- maybe the wedgie that I wanted to pick but nothing I couldn’t handle. My insecurities left me and I had the best time. Was the session different than you expected? If so, how? Of course it was! I don’t even know why I was so worried or damn nervous. I had the time of my life, even though I was still covered, I’d be happy to do it naked now. Lauren knew when I was getting in my own head, at the start especially. She distracted me by conversation and helped me empower and embrace the body parts that bothered me and now I don’t even look at them twice. How did you feel AFTER your session? Empowered, happy and excited. What was your favorite part? The whole thing! Mostly the laughter though. What was your least favorite part? the end of the session. Would you ever do another session? Yes and I have one booked!! How did you feel when you saw your images? Shocked, happy, emotional! Did anything change about the way you see yourself after the session? 100% I am more confident now more than I have ever been in my life. My confidence grew more and more after having my experience and seeing other women have one also. It’s so sad seeing so many beautiful people have all these awful insecurities that shouldn’t exist at all. It hurts my heart knowing people are so cruel to their own bodies. Everyone is beautiful, nobody is the same and that makes you special. Do you have any advice for women considering doing a boudoir session?
Just bloody do it! You don’t have to go to the gym to get into the “right shape” you don’t have to stop eating carbs to feel good. Just drink plenty of water and love your body for how it is. Book a session with who you are now. You’re beautiful and you deserve to feel it, Lauren is an incredible woman, and she can show you that you are too. Any final thoughts on your session, or anything you'd like other woman to know? I am so excited to do another one!! And I’m so glad I have already had one too. Be careful self love and empowerment becomes very addicting! And sharing it is so powerful. So go and book one otherwise I’ll have to steal your booking spot ;)

Bella's Brand Ambassador Shoot - Mildura Boudoir PhotographerSo in these blogs I'm always writing from Lauren's perspective, Lauren's love and pride in her clients is so loud it has been easy to resonate with her and write about everyone but I thought it's time I say what working with Lauren has meant to me. I first met Lauren after hearing about her donating a package to the Rotary Charity Ball when she was first launching Pure Beauty. I honestly couldn't have been more excited, as a lover of lingerie I'd been wanting to do a shoot for so long so I was very quick to book in a consultation. From the get go Lauren was this absolute ball of positivity and enthusiasm and I couldn't wait to work with her. It has been such a pleasure to work alongside Lauren in her mission to empower women and help them see the pure beauty within themselves. I have grown so much more confidence in myself being apart of Pure Beauty and felt so much joy seeing women of all shapes and sizes discover how truly beautiful they are both inside and out. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Lauren and Pure Beauty, I know the future is bright for this amazing woman. Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing this session? I just hoped my own insecurities wouldn't get the best of me like my first shoot. Was an absolute breeze this time! What made you take the leap of faith to do a boudoir session? Being a lover of lingerie it's something I had always wanted to do but always told myself "when I get skinnier". Finally started to accept my body for what it was and learn to love it. Did I provide enough pre-session info? Absolutely. Did not feel under prepared at all How did you feel BEFORE your session? I felt great, I knew I was going to have a great time with the girls How did you like working with my team? Did you love your hair & makeup? Loved my hair and make up, felt fabulous! How would you describe the session? (poses, direction, comfort level, thoughts, FEELINGS) Lauren is just so involved, you can just see the thoughts and ideas ticking through her head as she gets down on the ground to show you poses. You feel so much more confident seeing it demonstrated for you Was the session different than you expected? If so, how? No, it was exactly as fun and wonderful as I expected How did you feel AFTER your session? Exhausted! Prepare yourself for a bit of a workout! What was your favorite part? Just having a fun day with two incredibly energetic ladies! What was your least favorite part? That it ended Would you ever do another session? Silliest question ever. YES How did you feel when you saw your images? I actually got emotional and teared up a little when Lauren posted my first completed photo to the VIP group, I was just so proud of myself Did anything change about the way you see yourself after the session? I have always disliked smiling with my teeth exposed but I got to see some really lovely shots with a big smiling grins Do you have any advice for women considering doing a boudoir session?
As hard as it can be, you just need to absolutely let go of any inhibitions you have and give in to the experience. Any final thoughts on your session, or anything you'd like other woman to know? I just had the best time and can't wait to do it again. The excitement for my reveal is crazy! Lauren knows how to bring out the pure beauty in all her clients so there is no way this can be an experience you will regret! Jess's Brand Ambassador Shoot - Mildura Boudoir PhotographyBattling with her own self image like so many of us, Jess was a prime example of what immersing yourself in a group of supportive and empowering women can do for your self esteem. I chose Jess as one of my brand ambassadors as she is exactly what I see as a Pure Beauty, someone who may not have always seen their own beauty but has the willingness to embrace the support of others and in turn support them in discovering their Pure Beauty along with their own. From the first group shoot Jess has just flourished on camera and exudes so much strength and elegance. Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing this session? I compared myself a lot to the other girls so I was excited and pooping myself all at the same time. It took Lauren milliseconds to make me feel comfortable What made you take the leap of faith to do a boudoir session? Being a Brand Ambassador and having the most amazing support of everyone the leap wasn’t that hard to take Did I provide enough pre-session info? Everything was provided, price list, what is included all my questions were answered in depth How did you feel BEFORE your session? I was Pooping myself and I was so dam excited at the same time hahaha. I had a decaf before my shoot because I so didn’t need caffeine haha How did you like working with my team? Did you love your hair & makeup? Hair and makeup were amazing made me feel even more excited about my shoot. How would you describe the session? (poses, direction, comfort level, thoughts, FEELINGS) The session was absolutely amazing!! I had the best time so many laughs with Lauren, the poses are so much fun and Lauren doesn’t make you do anything you are not comfortable with, Lauren is very supportive in every way possible, I felt amazing afterwards and wanted to keep going but we had done all the poses we could think of and more hahahaha Was the session different than you expected? If so, how? I was expecting exactly what got Lauren makes you feel comfortable, excited and amazing as soon as you walk through the door. How did you feel AFTER your session? I could’ve kept going forever. I had so much adrenaline I felt absolutely amazing and so very much empowered. What was your favorite part? I love everything about the shoot What was your least favorite part? It went way to quick because we were having so much fun hahahaha Would you ever do another session? OMG YAAAAASSSSS is do one everyday if I could How did you feel when you saw your images? I couldn’t believe I could actually look that amazing in lingerie all my fears went out the window. Did anything change about the way you see yourself after the session?
I see myself in a whole new way. I walk around taller and more confident, I love myself more than I ever used to and if any doubt creeps in I look at those photos and I’m back on a high once again. Do you have any advice for women considering doing a boudoir session? DO IT!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!! It is the best feeling you will ever experience. Have fun with it, laugh during the session, try things you never thought you would do and don’t forget “POINT THOSE TOES”, “ARCH THAT BACK.....MORE.....MORE”, “STICK THAT BUTT OUT.....MORE.....MORE” and HAVE FUN Any final thoughts on your session, or anything you'd like other woman to know? If you have any questions do not be afraid to ask Lauren, The Brand Ambassadors or someone who has done a shoot. Kim's Brand Ambassador Shoot - Mildura Portrait PhotographerKim has been my OG boudie babe from the very beginning. From the first ideas of starting Pure Beauty Kim has been a driving force of inspiration and support on this journey. It was a no brainer that Kim was going to be one of the faces of my brand and I thank my lucky stars every day I have her. From finding every typo in my writing to coming into the studio at the drop of a hat to try out new things, Kim is there. This absolutely amazing woman kills every shoot she has done with me and just brings so much joy everytime. So all I've got to say now is, when are we shooting again Kim? Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing this session? None whatsoever What made you take the leap of faith to do a boudoir session? This was my Ambassador Shoot, so to say I was excited about this is an understatement! Did I provide enough pre-session info? Definitely How did you feel BEFORE your session? A little nervous. I wasn't as well prepared & planned for this shoot as my first & subsequent sessions. How did you like working with my team? Did you love your hair & makeup? Mairee always does a brilliant job. She knows what we'll be doing to our hair & what works, & achieves that perfectly. Vee is incredible! She took my wishy washy ideas & exceeded what I was expecting! It was what I wanted but better! How would you describe the session? (poses, direction, comfort level, thoughts, FEELINGS) I ALWAYS have a ball in the Studio! I am so comfortable in there & know that Lauren will tell me exactly what she wants & will demonstrate the poses too. She knows what works & what will look incredible in photos, but also allows me to make suggestions, takes onboard what has inspired me & what "look" I'm wanting to achieve. I have to admit that (so much) Reformer Pilates really helped me hold poses for a much longer amount of time & definitely helped me in not feeling as sore the next day from all the arching & being up on my toes! Was the session different than you expected? If so, how? We got up on the Roof!!!!! Oh my Goodness! All my wishes came true!!! Lauren & I have been literally dying to get up there for a shoot & the stars aligned & we did! I got my roof shots, I got my stair shots, I got my ladder shots. One very happy woman right here! How did you feel AFTER your session? Amazing. Totally on Cloud 9. Desperately waiting to see some sneak peeks! I was very reflective of my session this time - only because I know what to expect & it's not all new to me, but I found that I was smiling well into the night about what we had achieved! What was your favorite part? All of it! Not being scared to ask for what I wanted. Not being afraid to make my own decision about what I felt would be best (& throwing those knickers off!) Completely embracing everything we were doing & putting my heart & sole (& booty & boobs) into it! What was your least favorite part? The walk from where I parked my car to the Studio - my toes got cold (teach me to wear thongs in ugg boot weather!) Would you ever do another session? Hell to the Yeah!!!! How did you feel when you saw your images? I've only seen the raw unedited images (with the exception of a few) & I am beyond excited! I can't wait to get my album! Did anything change about the way you see yourself after the session? This session has been the culmination of my life being turned upside down & I view all of these images throughout, as reflecting on my journey. I know that I can look at all of these images & I will see & feel the sadness, resilience, strength, confidence & beauty that these past eight months has brought, but most of all, I can see how I have grown over this time, how far I've come & I'm going to always have beautiful memories of all the wonderful people who have been part of this journey & helped & supported me. I see myself as stronger, more self assured, confident, empowered & I have a clearer identity of the person I truly am, & this session really just summed it up perfectly. Oh, & my legs look amazing!!!! (& my boobs & butt & tummy & back & face & arms & neck etc...…) Do you have any advice for women considering doing a boudoir session?
If you think you would like to do one - Do It! If you wish you could do one - Do It! If you want to do one but are scared - Do It! If you get in your head & tell yourself you're not good enough - Do It!!!! If you're making bullshit excuses why you shouldn't/couldn't/can't/won't do it - Do It!!!! This is not about having a perfect body, This is not about other people's opinions of you, This is not about you feeling guilty! This is about YOU doing something wonderful for YOU! You Deserve it, You are Beautiful, You are Sexy, You are Unique, You are Incredible AND YOU DESERVE TO KNOW IT! Any final thoughts on your session, or anything you'd like other woman to know? Lauren is a genius! She is so talented & has studied Boudoir Photography, & she will bring your Inner Goddess out! If you are not confident about a certain part of your body, she will suggest poses that will make you feel comfortable, and you will begin to see your body in a whole new light. This is such a fun experience, and one that you will leave feeling (sore but) amazing, empowered, strong, sexy & ready to take on the world! You will be inspired, you will be confident & those pesky perceptions you have of yourself will begin to dim & disappear & you will see yourself how everyone else sees you......as a Pure Beauty xxx |
