Are you up for a little sportswear in your shoot? 23 year old Amy is a Graphic Designer here in Mildura. She was one of the successful applicants for the Sportswear Boudie Call I put out recently. She was an absolute rock star during her boudoir shoot & she proved it doesn't matter what you are wearing, if you own it, ANYTHING you wear can be sexy! Take a read of Amy's Post session questionnaire below. Did you have any obstacles or fears about doing this session? I was worried I’d be awkward with the posing, and that my facial expressions wouldn’t look good. What made you take the leap of faith to do a boudoir session? I’d been thinking about it for ages, and saw the boudie call and thought, this is my sign! Did I provide enough pre-session info? Yeah! How did you feel BEFORE your session? 50% nervous 50% excited How did you like working with my team? Did you love your hair & makeup? Yes they were so nice! They made me feel a lot less nervous, and I LOVED how I looked, it was perfect! How would you describe the session? Really fun! Lauren was really helpful in the way she directed my posing, and I loved her excitement every time she took a good photo! She made me feel at ease right away. Her bubbly personality really helped me feel relaxed and have fun! Was the session different than you expected? If so, how? The posing and stuff came really naturally. Because I was so comfortable, I was able to just go with the flow and move around freely. I wasn’t thinking “I wonder if this looks good”, I was just in the moment. I didn’t want to regret not trying something because I was scared about how it looked, so I just tried everything! How did you feel AFTER your session? Amazing! I didn’t want it to end! What was your favorite part? Where I did the handstand pose! I’m really glad I got to try it and it worked! What was your least favorite part? I’m not sure! Maybe the part where I had to sit on the window, it hurt a lot but I wanted to get the shot so I pushed through it haha Would you ever do another session? Of course! It might not be for a while yet but I really want to!! How did you feel when you saw your images? Shocked! I thought to myself “is that really me?” I couldn’t believe that I looked that good. It really boosted my confidence and made me want to try more poses! Did anything change about the way you see yourself after the session? There was a part during the session where I was looking at my legs, and I noticed that my thighs were kinda hairy. My mood kind of dropped a bit, but once I saw the photos, it reminded me that I shouldn’t pick at tiny things like that, when I’m the only person that sees those things. Do you have any advice for women considering doing a boudoir session?
Do it! You don’t have to do it for anyone else but yourself. If you feel like doing it, do it! Don’t worry about what anyone else will think. It’s a way to get in touch with your body and appreciate it for what it is, and how much it does for you. Any final thoughts on your session, or anything you'd like other woman to know? Treat yourself!
