I have always wanted to get a partner's perspective about a boudoir shoot, so after one of my clients, Emily, completed her Pure Beauty Experience, I asked her husband, Marc to answer a few questions. How would you describe your partner? - Happy and positive - Patient and thoughtful - Hard working - A little bit shy and reserved - Self conscious about her body Tell me a little bit about your relationship, how you met, how long you have been together etc We first met years ago when Em was around 5 years old as she was friends with my sister and we attended the same school for a few years. She then moved away with her family to Swan hill. It was then a chance meeting at a 21st years later that we caught each others eye. She was in her 3rd year of Uni in Albury, so we did the long distant thing for 18 months until she finished and moved to Mildura. We then moved into our first house and started our life together. We have been together for 13 years, married 7 of those. We now have 2 children. Did you know she was having boudoir pictures taken? Yes definitely. We spoke about it at length and I encouraged her to enquire about it. What was your initial thoughts when you heard she had/would have boudoir photos taken? I said to her to "Go for it" What would you say to a female friend about having a Boudoir shoot through Pure Beauty? I would tell them to definitely do it. I could see it would be an amazing experience to boost confidence and they can see themselves from their partner and other peoples perspective. I think they would be very surprised as to what they will take away from it besides the pictures. What would you say to a MALE friend about Pure Beauty? I would tell them to encourage their partner or someone they know to definitely do it. It would be an amazing experience for their partner to do it and i feel like they wouldn't get the most out of the experience if their partner wasn't supportive. Did you notice a difference in her immediately after the session? If so, how? Yes definitely. I could tell that she thought it went well and she was very confident and amazed at her appearance .I don't think she realised that she could look that good. How has she changed in the months following her shoot? She is still amazed that she got up the courage to do it and still can't believe how well it turned out. There are things about herself that she feels more confident since the shoot. How, if at all, has your relationship with her changed since her shoot? I don't think it has changed much. I am always telling her she is beautiful in my eyes and now she knows what i am talking about. What do you think of the images we captured? They are amazing. I had a feeling they would be good but couldn't believe it when I saw them. She seems so natural and comfortable doing it. I can see the confidence within her from the pictures. Do you love the products she purchased? Yes they are amazing. We were originally going with a couple of basic ones but decided to get a few more and I know we wont regret it. Would you love to see an image of her on your bedroom wall? Absolutely. Just need to find time to put it up. Would you like her to do another shoot in the future? Yes, for the both of us. Is there anything else you would like to add? It was an awesome experience for Em. She got a lot more out of it than she ever thought she would. She was able to embrace her body after having our 2 children which will be something special to look back on for years to come. I know she will never regret the decision to get out of her comfort zone and try something new. Thank you for the experience Lauren, Emily said that you were so professional but at the same time made it so fun and exciting that you were the reason the experience was so memorable. She said she didn't once feel shy, embarrassed or awkward etc. I am so proud of her for having a go at it. I didn't think that it would be something she would be curious about. It just goes to show if you step out of your comfort zone you never know what you might achieve. What other photography products would you love to see from Pure Beauty? Maybe a couples intimate shoot of some sort. I'd like to say a HUGE "Thank You" to Marc for taking the time from his very busy life, to answer these questions for you & me!
Anddd... I am super excited to finally be offering couples Boudoir!!
